It is imperative for every business to turn a profit in order to be successful.  So, how do you make sure you are making a profit instead of losing money?  Do you really know how to price your products or services or are you just guessing?

First, you need to set a realistic, overall profit margin needed in order to afford ALL of your expenses, including your salary.  Second, you need to determine if the price you are charging your customer will in turn meet your required profit margin, once you have calculated cost of each product/service.  If it does not, then you need to rethink offering the product/service or rethink the price.
